International Atlas of Living Australia – ALA -Workshop

Last week we participated in our first International ALA Workshop in Madrid. This workshop aimed to answer our question related to the open source project Atlas of Living Australia -ALA-. The participants came from 7 different countries (Spain, Sweden, AustraliaFranceMexicoGermanyCanada) and we had 4 instructors.

It was followed by presentations on ALA Architecture and basic to advanced modules, security, customization, taxonomy, internationalisation and images management. ALA developer team made a really great job. This workshop has answered lots of the questions we had and even more, thanks to the presence of David Martin and our instructor team’s expertise.

The organisation was perfect and the hotel downtown Madrid was only few blocks away from the Royal Botanical Garden where the workshop took place. It was a great time a pleasure to discover other ALA users! I hope we will have another workshop next year.
We have now lots of new ideas to develop Canadensys portal.

Please enjoy already the first screenshots of the future Canadensys portal, based on ALA!
